

All in all, there is a lot to like in this story, but the very abrupt ending was not satisfying. I almost wondered if I was missing a chunk of the book.

White sometimes gives “reasonable” explanations for Stuart’s little things - such as ice skates made of paper clips and coins made of foil, but sometimes there is no explanation at all for things (a working car with gas engine for a mouse?!?).
